A solid effort last week with - a reverse block, with a return to the steep side of Moonshine for extra fun.

A new challenge for this Sunday. let's have a crack at Horokiwi, possibly Wellington's toughest hill. Similar to Moonshine but a bit longer. As far as I can tell, we;ve never done it on a sunday ride before, and from the looks of Strava, many Kapiti riders have never had a go at it.

After a familiar roll over Paekak Hill and Haywards, some nice flat, fast riding down to Ngauranga, before turning back towards Petone on SH2 and taking the Horokiwi turn off, right to the end of the road (it does flatten out a bit after a while). The descent isn't as bad as Moonshine, as it's wide enough to have a white line for the whole of the steep section. Then a flat cruise back to Haywards and back over Paekak Hill.
