Please take care when riding north on SH1 between Peka Peka and Te Waka Road (next to the concrete barriers). 

Although NZTA have kindly moved the white line out to give cyclists a bit more room, there is now an asphalt lip (which used to be at the edge of the white line), running up the middle of the cycle lane and the surface is rough in few places.  We have made NZTA aware that this lip is a hazard to bikes (especially road tyres). 

NZTA have requested Fletchers to level the surface through there in the next few working weeks.  In the short-term, they will look at some signage to warn of uneven surface.
