The official new Club kit is now on sale to current members via the online store. Be quick - orders close on Wednesday 28th June, with delivery in August. It will be great to see everyone wearing our new kit in a few months time - this will really boost our Club's visibility and profile!
Sizing
You will see on the store a myriad of options so that you really get a kit custom-made for you. For this reason, and because the kit is generally race-fit (read: close-fitting) we recommend that you try on samples of the kit to check sizes before you buy. To help you choose the perfect sizes, we will be holding three Club Kit Fit events:
- Weds 21st June 3-6pm - Doug Barrett's house @ 94 Arawhata Rd, Paraparaumu
- Sat 24th June 2-5pm - Janice Hill's house @ 17 The Avenue, Paraparaumu Beach
- Sun 25th June 3-4pm - Glynis Te Maipi-Kemp's house @ 6 Ross Grove, Paraparaumu
* At the Club Kit Fit you will also be able to see the actual colours printed on the jersey fabric. Please note that these are much more vibrant than they appear on screen, so this alone is really worthwhile seeing.
Quality
We have selected Tineli's top-range options throughout, and incorporated many features which are normally optional extras as standard. Such as reflective tabs on the winter jersey and vest, water-proof phone pocket on the jerseys, and the top-range chamois. Our new Club jersey features 'waffle' fabric on the shoulders and arms for reduced wind resistance. And the new winter jersey was tested (and approved!) by riders in the Tour of Southland.
Skinsuits
Any members interested in buying a skin suit should contact Gary Clareburt directly (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.) , as each skin suit will effectively be a custom spec based on all the options available. He can share the various options and pricing with you
Pricing
We have achieved such fantastic pricing (virtually wholesale) by betting on us collectively buying 100 items, including a minimum of 10 of each item (skinsuit, vest and winter jersey only require 5). Such high quality kit is unlikely to be available at this price again. However, we need to reach that target of 100 items! So if you'd like to buy jerseys etc for non-local cycling friends and family - you're welcome.
Stock
The Club is not intending to hold stock - so please treat this as your one and only chance to get the kit for many months, and almost certainly never cheaper.
If you're not currently a member and you'd like to buy the kit, perhaps consider joining as a recreational member - the $40 investment will easily be recouped at these prices.
Over the next few days we will post more information about the kit, but if you have any questions, please fire them through to newkit@kapiticyclingclub. co.nz
Happy Shopping!!
