Here's my account of my Everest attempt of Maungakotukutuku Hill on 10 October.  The ride is a bit of a slog, but was made exceptional for me by the most amazing support I got from a huge cross-section of Kapiti cyclists.  Thanks everyone!

I'd also like to add that doing an Everest is not that hard.  You just have to work out how to do it (pace, nutrition, etc.), but it's very manageable.  If you're in touch with that slightly insane side of yourself - which all cyclists are - then go for it!

I also thought I'd throw in a cool picture taken by Adrian at the end.
